MEET JIM CREED
In 1982, Jim Creed embarked on an unexpected journey into the culinary world when a friend and hotel developer posed the intriguing question, “How would you like to have a restaurant?” With no prior experience but a passion for hospitality, Jim, alongside his partner Victor Schmidt, opened the distinguished Baron’s Inne in what was then a burgeoning King of Prussia. This establishment quickly became a premier dining destination, attracting not only locals but also legendary performers from the nearby Valley Forge Music Fair, including Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder.
In 2001, as part of a significant renovation, Jim transformed Baron’s Inne into Creed’s Seafood & Steaks, a name synonymous with quality dining in the community. Under Jim’s ownership, Creed's has flourished, embracing the principles of family, friendship, and community. The restaurant remains a beloved local landmark, where guests can enjoy an inviting atmosphere paired with exceptional cuisine.
Jim’s commitment to genuine hospitality and community engagement has made Creed’s a cornerstone for various gatherings, from social events to business meetings. After over four decades, it’s no wonder that many patrons refer to Creed’s as their “Cheers”—a place where everyone knows your name. As Jim Creed says, “We’re not just a restaurant; we’re a part of the community fabric.”
When you visit, be sure to look up at the front doors to catch a glimpse of the original etched glass from The Baron’s Inne, a tribute to the rich history that continues to inspire the dining experience at Creed’s Seafood & Steaks.
